If you don’t get this, you won’t get leads

It only takes one mistake to undermine your entire LinkedIn strategy.

Here’s an example:

Three weeks ago, I had a LinkedIn Strategy session with someone who, on paper, should be killing it.

– Their content kicked ass.

– Their profile was in the top 10%.

– Their engagement was through the roof.

Yet they were still getting ZERO leads.

The mistake?

Targeting the wrong audience.

When you target the wrong audience, it doesn’t matter how much time, money, or effort you invest – people still won’t buy.

Here’s another example:

This client ticks all the boxes that should scream Industry Authority;

– C-level Exec.

– Published author.

– Paid speaker.

They’d invested in multiple LinkedIn coaches, spent a ton of time on the platform, and definitely knew their shit.

But again, no results.

Why?

They didn’t talk about how they solve their target audience’s problems, or what makes their approach different. It felt sterile. And, as a result, failed to connect with their target customers.

Two different scenarios at first glance, yet they had one important thing in common – their LinkedIn problems weren’t connected to LinkedIn.

This brings me to my next point: most LinkedIn problems are Business problems in disguise.

More often than you think, you have a Business problem, not a LinkedIn Problem.

What talking to hundreds of clients taught me is that you rarely need more hacks, commenting guides, or personal stories to make it on LinkedIn.

What you really need is to gain absolute clarity on your Big-3 (the problem you solve, for whom, and how) – then translate it into successful marketing.
